Cancellations can be done at any time, as long as the company is notified in writing (via email or WhatsApp). The customer will receive a refund based on the following cancellation policy:

• Cancellations requested 7 days or more before the activity date, the customer will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
• Cancellations requested between 4 and 6 days before the activity date, the customer will receive a refund of 50% of the amount paid.
• Cancellations requested up to 72 hours before the activity date, the customer will not receive a refund.

No-shows resulting from canceled or delayed flights will be eligible for a refund in accordance with our cancellation policy.

• All onboard for a unique experience! We want our company to be inclusive and provide the best services to all our customers. We consider the whale & dolphin watching an inclusive activity for all ages. Children under 14 years old must always travel accompanied by a responsible adult.
• Availability and activity start time: Every day from March 1st to November 30th. 2 trips per day. From March 1 to September 30 the morning trip starts at 8h30 and the afternoon trip starts at 14h30. From October 1 to November 30 the morning trip starts at 9h00 and the afternoon trip starts at 14h00. If, for whatever reason, there were any changes to the timetable, the company would always notify you in advance.
• The meeting point of the Whale & dolphin Watching is the Base of Azores Experiences, located in the B1 Unit of the building for the maritime-tourist activities of Horta Marina, Cais de Santa Cruz. We recommend arriving 10 minutes before the start of the activity.
• A minimum of 4 participants (adults) is required to carry out the activity. If the minimum number of 4 adults is not reached, we will contact you to reschedule the booking.
• Although the maximum capacity of our boat is 16 people (14 clients, 1 skipper and 1 guide), we prefer to offer better service and comfort to our customers. We normally go out with maximum 13 clients, 1 skipper and 2 guides or even 12 clients, 1 skipper and 2 guides, if there are no children or it is not a single group. In case of larger groups, please contact us.
• The trip may be limited by the weather conditions, unforeseen circumstances and the presence of the animals within our area of operation. In case the trip cannot take place, there will be a full refund or a voucher will be issued to reschedule the trip.
• Azores Experiences provides waterproof jackets and trousers with different sizes (from M to XXXL) designed to fit to different body measurements. However, the sizes are quite large. So, for very small children we recommend bringing your own jacket. In case you prefer to use one of ours, we will always provide the sizes of the jackets and pants according to the sizes of our clients.
• Azores Experiences also provides approved life jackets that are mandatory to use on board. Provides one-size-fits-all inflatable (automatically and manually) life jackets for adults and foam life jackets for children and infants.
• What would happen if we don’t see any cetaceans on the trip? In case there’s no sights of cetaceans (whales OR dolphins) by the lookouts in the Whale Watching activity, Azores Experiences could offer reschedule the trip, cancel the trip or go on a search with the hydrophone. Azores Experiences will always recommend the best option according to the weather conditions and state of the sea of each day. In case the clients choose to go on a search, the full price will be charged.
• During the activity we will be taking pictures for research. Beside that we may take pictures and videos of the people before, during and after the activity for social media, marketing and other purposes. Unless otherwise indicated in writing, before departure of the activity, the participant gives all rights and permission to use the audiovisual material taken during the activity.
• In case of no-show, the total price will be charged.
